Optical encoder

A sensor that detects the rotation angle of a motor shaft with high accuracy and high resolution.
It is mainly built into servo motors capable of high-precision rotation control.
These servo motors are used in industrial robots that require high-precision positioning, as well as in NC machines for machining and chip mounters that place chip components onto electronic boards.

Photoelectric sensor

A sensor that detects when an object passes across it.
It is mainly used as a sensor for logistics and safety/security applications.
It is also built into automated production lines and used as a sensor for high-precision object detection and defect detection.

Distance measuring sensor (ranging sensor)

In distance measuring sensors, distance is detected using light reflected from the target, so the directivity and output of the light greatly affect detection performance. Point Source LEDs can form a fine spot with minimal light spread, enabling high-accuracy distance detection. Moreover, higher output enables long-range detection and stable detection of low-reflectance objects, while 940 nm infrared light suppresses the influence of sunlight to achieve highly reliable sensing.

In distance measuring sensors, the smaller the light spread, the less the variation in detected position, enabling high-accuracy distance measurement.
